In the past two weeks, Cork and Ross Diocese has had meetings with Clergy, Funeral Directors and Parish Funeral Team Members, to explain the new arrangements for funerals.

The main changes are:

• There will be no Sunday Funerals from now on.
• There will be ‘Vigil for the Deceased’ prayers either at the Family Home or Funeral Home. (This will not be followed by removal to the church)
• There will be no opportunity to sympathise with the family in the church.
